DeepDiive

A virtual conversation card deck for remote teams — built by a remote team

About This Project

DeepDiive is a virtual conversation card deck designed to help remote colleagues have more meaningful 1:1s. I co-founded it and built it with a distributed, multinational team working asynchronously across timezones — the same problem the product itself addresses. We shipped a real-time paired experience over WebSockets, with the deck informed by research on what makes workplace conversations land.

Key Features

  • Real-Time Paired Sessions: Two colleagues join the same deck and move through it together over a live WebSocket connection.
  • Research-Informed Prompts: The card deck draws on studies of what makes workplace conversation meaningful rather than generic ice-breakers.
  • Built For The Problem It Solves: Designed and shipped by a remote team that had lived the problem of thin, transactional colleague relationships.

Project Outcome

DeepDiive came out of a remote team trying to solve its own problem — and shipping it async across timezones was as much the lesson as the product.
